I spontaneously made a few cool DIY drinking glasses from old glass and an eyelet. That was really quick and my problem with the insects has been solved. I think the glasses are a must-have for summer because the idea is so simple and practical. And now I'm going to show you how to make great glasses.

DIY DRINKING GLASSES FOR SUMMER CRAFTING

So that no uninvited guests end up in the lemonade, we quickly make a few cool upcycling drinking glasses. Below you will also find the right recipe for a refreshing lemonade. This is how hot summer days can be endured.

FOR THE DIY DRINKING GLASSES YOU NEED:

Mason jars with lids
Eyelets (ideally the diameter of a straw)
Eyelet tool
hammer
Straws

AND HOW THE GLASSES ARE MADE:

Take one of the lids in hand and punch a hole with the eyelet tool (which should actually be included with the eyelets). To do this, place the lid over the counterpart and the eyelet tool on top. Now hit the eyelet tool vigorously with the hammer. Alternatively, you can use a simple nail. To do this, draw the size of your eyelet on the lid and make holes around the circle.
Insert the eyelet through the hole in the lid and hit it with the eyelet tool. Finished!
The DIY drinking glasses are super easy and quick, right? And so practical. You can of course decorate the glasses a little afterwards, for example with some color.

SIMPLY MAKE LEMON LEMONADE

Actually, I wanted to introduce you to homemade lemonade with mint today, but when I was buying herbs at the weekly market yesterday, I discovered lemon verbena. I have to admit that I did not know about lemon verbena before, the seller told me that it can be used very well to flavor desserts and that lemon verbena is also suitable for teas and sodas. So I just took it with me and tried it out. First I boiled a few leaves together with mint to a tea and since it tasted really delicious, I also used the lemon verbena in the lemonade and in the water ice today.

FOR THE LEMON LEMONADE YOU NEED:
8 lemons
400 - 500 g sugar
250 ml water
a bunch of lemon verbena

HOW THE LEMONADE IS MADE:

First we have to squeeze the lemons vigorously and put the juice with pulp in a saucepan.
We carefully grate the lemon peel and also add the zest to the pot.
Next, we add 250 ml of water and 400 - 500 g of sugar.
Then we wash some leaves of the lemon verbena and put them in our mixture.
Now we have to boil everything thoroughly and let it simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.
Then we pour everything through a sieve, pour our syrup into a mason jar and let it cool well.
To get lemonade, we give a small sip of syrup in a glass and pour the rest with mineral water. Finished!

Frozen, by the way, the syrup and lemonade can be made into super delicious water ice. Perfect on hot summer days! In the past, we always made water ice in summer. When I found the old ice molds in the cupboard yesterday, I immediately processed some of the syrup into water ice. Of course, you can also use small cups and wooden handles as a shape.
